ตอนที่ 47 เทศกาลคริสต์มาสในประเทศไทย

       Good morning everyone! Welcome to Have Fun with Thai. 

       I’m Penpitchaya Pengsri Myoehaenen from Centre of Thai for Foreigner Faculty of Humanities Naresuan University.

        สวัสดีค่ะขอต้อนรับท่านผู้ฟังเข้าสู่รายการ “สนุกสนานกับภาษาไทย” ดิฉันเพ็ญพิชญา เพ็งศรี มูฮาเน่น จากหน่วยการสอนภาษาไทยสำหรับชาวต่างชาติ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวรค่ะ

        Today is the 47th Episode already. This program was design for the foreigners who are interested in developing their Thai Language & Thai Culture. Our episode today ‘will talking about Christmas in Thailand.

        วันนี้รายการได้นำเสนอเป็นตอนที่ 47 แล้วนะคะ รายการนี้ออกแบบสำหรับชาวต่างชาติที่ต้องการเรียนรู้ภาษาไทย ได้ฝึกฝนและพัฒนาตนเองเกี่ยวกับภาษาไทย  วันนี้เราจะนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับเทศกาลคริสต์มาสในประเทศไทยค่ะ

        Thai people are generally a fun-loving people. Regardless of culture and tradition. There are often stories of happiness. Joy permeates itself. When the cultures of other nations come the more it is a culture that rejoices its too. Therefore, it is easy for Thai people to accept those cultures and adapt them as their own. Get used to it quickly, don’t feel uncomfortable for celebrating that culture. It is a fun festival full of joy.

        โดยปกติแล้วคนไทยเป็นคนที่รักความสนุกสนาน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นวัฒนธรรมและประเพณี มักจะมีเรื่องราวแห่งความสุข สนุกสนาน ความชื่นชมยินดีแทรกอยู่เสมอ เมื่อมีวัฒนธรรมของชนชาติอื่นๆเข้ามา ยิ่งเป็นวัฒนธรรมที่รื่นเริงด้วยแล้ว ยิ่งเป็นเรื่องง่ายที่คนไทยจะรับเอาวัฒนธรรมเหล่านั้นเข้ามาปรับเป็นของตนเอง ทำให้คุ้นเคยได้เร็ว และไม่รู้สึกอึดอัด  เมื่อร่วมเฉลิมฉลองไปกับวัฒนธรรมนั้นๆ สำหรับเทศกาลคริสต์มาสก็เช่นเดียวกันค่ะ เป็นเทศกาลที่สนุกสนาน เต็มไปด้วยความรื่นเริงและความสุข

        When did the Christmas festival begin in Thailand? And how did it develop to?  ดร.ชัยณรงค์ มนเทียรวิเชียรฉาย  President of the St. John's University Council and Adviser to the Pontifical Ministry of Mass Communication, Vatican, tells the history of the celebration of Christmas and Christianity in Thailand that Started coming in since the Ayutthaya period.

        เทศกาลคริสต์มาสเริ่มเข้ามาสู่เมืองไทยเมื่อไหร่ และพัฒนาจนมาเป็นทุกวันนี้ได้อย่างไร ดร.ชัยณรงค์ มนเทียรวิเชียรฉาย นายกสภามหาวิทยาลัยเซนต์จอห์น และที่ปรึกษาสมณกระทรวงสื่อสารมวลชน สำนักวาติกัน บอกเล่าถึงความเป็นมาของการฉลองคริสต์มาสกับคริสต์ศาสตร์ในประเทศไทยว่า เริ่มเข้ามาตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาแล้วค่ะ

        Until now, Christmas celebrations in Thailand have been made up of two main parts. The first is spiritual. Every church around the world has sermons to prepare the mind and the concrete part of the celebration like singing Christmas carols in various places. 

       It included a student dramatization of the birth of Jesus. There has been a preparation for the Phra Kuman Cave. Decorate the place with Christmas trees and stars. There were merry parties, games, and exchange gifts. Shopping malls and various places are beautifully decorated with lights and Christmas trees.

        จนถึงปัจจุบันนี้การเฉลิมฉลองคริสต์มาสในเมืองไทย ประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วนใหญ่ๆ ส่วนแรกเป็นเรื่องของจิตวิญญาณ โบสถ์ทุกแห่งทั่วโลกมีการเทศน์สอนเพื่อเตรียมจิตใจ และส่วนของการเฉลิมฉลองที่เป็นรูปธรรม อย่างเช่นการขับร้องเพลงคริสต์มาสในสถานที่ต่างๆ รวมถึงการแสดงละครโดยนักเรียน เกี่ยวกับการประสูติของพระเยซู มีการจัดทำถ้ำพระกุมาร ประดับสถานที่ด้วยต้นคริสต์มาสและดวงดาว มีการจัดงานเลี้ยงรื่นเริง การละเล่น และการจับสลากแลกของขวัญ ห้างสรรพสินค้า สถานที่ต่างๆ จะได้ประดับประดาไฟและตกแต่งต้นคริสต์มาสอย่างสวยงามค่ะ
