รายการ Have fun with Thai หรือ สนุกสนานกับภาษาไทยเป็นรายการวิทยุที่สร้างขึ้นสำหรับท่านผู้ฟังต่างประเทศที่สนใจเรียนภาษาไทย ขอให้เราได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการพัฒนาทักษะภาษาไทยของท่านผู้ฟังทุกท่านนะคะ หากพูดถึงเรื่องสถานที่ต่างๆ ในประเทศไทย “วัด” นะคะก็ถือว่าเป็นสถานที่สำคัญแห่งหนึ่งที่เป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมรวมทั้งเป็นสถานที่ทางศาสนาที่พุทธศาสนิกชนผู้นับถือศาสนาพุทธไปทำบุญกันอีกด้วยนะคะ วัดยังเป็นศูนย์กลางของสังคมไทยนะคะ ซึ่งเราก็จะพบว่าหลายๆ คนนะคะก็จะไปวัดนะคะ ไม่ได้ไปกันเฉพาะทำบุญนะคะ ก็อาจจะไปท่องเที่ยวหรือว่าไปซื้อของฝากได้อีกด้วยนะคะ รายการสนุกสนานกับภาษาไทยในวันนี้เราก็เลยจะพาทุกๆท่านนะคะ มาเรียนรู้คำศัพท์สำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการไปวัดกันค่ะ
A visit to a Buddhist temple or วัด can be rewarding cultural experiences which around 95% of Thai population identify as Buddhist. The local วัด plays and important roles in Thai society. There is in estimated three, four thousand Buddhist temples in Thailand, which function not only as a play for low cheap and contemplation but also as community center especially in rule areas. So, today we talk about important words you should know about visiting temple in Thai. Let’s get start.
มาเริ่มกันเลยนะคะ the first one temple, temple in Thai we use “วัด” repeat after me ออกเสียงตามนะคะ “วัด” “วัด” the next one Buddha “พระพุทธเจ้า” “พระพุทธเจ้า” So, repeat after me again “พระพุทธเจ้า” “พรพุทธเจ้า” is mean buddha. And for Buddha image we call in Thai “พระพุทธรูป” “พระพุทธรูป” ออกเสียงตามอีกครั้งนะคะ so repeat after me again “พระพุทธรูป” “พระพุทธรูป” well done. The next one “Buddhist”, “Buddhist” in Thai we call “พุทธศาสนิกชน” “พุทธศาสนิกชน” it’s quite difficult, so try to repeat after me “พุทธศาสนิกชน” “พุทธศาสนิกชน” it’s means Buddhist. So, next one “monk”, “monk” “พระ” “พระ” Again please. Repeat after me “พระ” “พระ” or sometimes we can call “พระสงฆ์” “พระสงฆ์” Okay, the next one is young monk novice. we call “เณร” “เณร” repeat after me again. “เณร” “เณร” very good. Next one “pavilion” “pavilion” “ศาลาวัด” “ศาลาวัด” okay repeat after me again ออกเสียงตามอีกครั้งนะคะ “ศาลาวัด” “ศาลาวัด” okay next “pagoda” “pagoda” in Thai we call เจดีย์ เจดีย์ again please pagoda “เจดีย์” “เจดีย์” well next one “chapel” “chapel” we call “อุโบสถ” “อุโบสถ” the next one “pray” “pray” in Thai we call “สวดมนต์” “สวดมนต์” okay repeat after me again นะคะ “สวดมนต์” “สวดมนต์” okay for the prayer “book” “book” we call หนังสือ so prayer book is หนังสือสวดมนต์ repeat after me นะคะ “หนังสือสวดมนต์” “หนังสือสวดมนต์” next joss stick “ธูป” “ธูป” again please joss stick “ธูป” “ธูป” the next one “candle” “candle” “candle” is “เทียน” “เทียน” so next one lotus ดอกบัว lotus ดอกบัว repeat after me นะคะ “ดอกบัว” “ดอกบัว” next นะคะ “holy water” “holy water” ภาษาไทยใช้ว่า “น้ำมนต์” “น้ำมนต์” ออกเสียงตามนะคะ “น้ำมนต์” “น้ำมนต์” next, holy thread ภาษาไทยใช้ว่า “สายสิญจน์” “สายสิญจน์” next one “warship” “warship” ภาษาไทยใช้ว่า “บูชา” “บูชา” ออกเสียงตามนะคะ “บูชา” “บูชา” the next one, “make merit” “make merit” ภาษาไทยใช้ว่า “ทำบุญ” “ทำบุญ” and the last one นะคะ “donate” “donate” ภาษาไทยใช้ว่า “บริจาค” “บริจาค”
ต่อไปนะคะจะพูดถึงข้อควรระวังเวลาที่เราจะต้องไปวัดกันค่ะ There are rule of various that all visitor should keep in mind when visit Thai temple, which are dress politely.แต่งตัวให้สุภาพเหมาะสมนะคะ So, please dress respectfully when you visit anytime temple. Make sure you shoulder are covered. No vest, tank top or spaghetti straps and although skirt or short are acceptable at many temples but they should be smart and at least knee length. Visitor should dress extra conservatively with long trousers for men and a below the knee skirt dress or trousers for women.
ต้องแต่งตัวให้สุภาพเหมาะสมนะคะ ไม่ใส่เสื้อสายเดี่ยวนะคะหรือว่ากระโปรงหรือกางเกงที่สั้นเกินไปสำหรับสุภาพสตรีหรือคุณผู้หญิงนะคะ Next, you have to take off you shoes. Take off your shoes before entering the temple buildings. If you are wearing a hat that should also be remove before going inside and either kept it in your hand or better seal places in your back. Shoes are normally left on a shelf or near the step outside the temple. เราต้องถอดรองเท้าก่อนที่จะเข้าไปในวัดนะคะ โดยมากก็จะมีชั้นวางรองเท้าให้เราวางนะคะ ถ้าเกิดว่าเรามีหมวกนะคะต้องถอดหมวกออกนะคะถือไว้หรือเก็บเอาไว้ในกระเป๋านะคะ ที่สำคัญนะคะจะต้องระวังนะคะ Not your point feet at buddha image or monks. นะคะ อย่าเอาเท้านะคะชี้ไปทางพระพุทธรูปหรือพระสงฆ์เป็นอันขาดนะคะ You keep your head lower than the buddha image or monks always. นะคะ ก็ต้องระวังนะคะต้องพยายามที่จะเอาศีรษะไว้อยู่ต่ำกว่าพระพุทธรูปนะคะหรือว่าพระสงฆ์นะคะต้องมีความเคารพนะคะ ที่สำคัญนะคะต้องไม่ปีนป่ายบนอาสนะสงฆ์แล้วก็โบราณสถานต่างๆด้วยนะคะ Don’t sit on the platform or seat reserve for monks and do not claim on an ancient buildings. And when you say in วัด, or temple please be quite and do not make a loud noise, no smoking and yes, no alcohol. ค่ะ ทั้งหมดนี้ก็เป็นข้อควรปฏิบัตินะคะเวลาไปวัดไทยนะคะ ก็หวังว่าจะเป็นประโยชน์นะคะสำหรับท่านผู้ฟังทุกท่านนะคะ This is all about rules of etiquette that all visitors should keep in mind when visit Thai temple. ค่ะ แล้ววันนี้นะคะเวลาของเราก็หมดลงแล้ว ก็ขอบคุณทุกๆท่านที่ติดตามรายการสนุกสนานกับภาษาไทยของเรานะคะ หวังว่าท่านผู้ฟังทุกท่านจะได้รับประโยชน์และสนุกสนานกับรายการของเรา แล้วกลับมาพบกันใหม่สัปดาห์หน้านะคะ see you again next time. today, take care and goodbye.
